Deuteronomy 1:35-37

³⁵ ‘Not one of these men, this evil generation, shall see the good land which I swore (solemnly promised) to give to your fathers, ³⁶ except Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him and to his children I will give the land on which he has walked, because he has followed the Lord completely [and remained true to Him].’ ³⁷ The Lord was angry with me also because of you, saying, ‘Not even you shall enter Canaan.
